LOCATION: ST. LOUIS
PARK, MINNESOTA
St. Louis Park is located
within the Minneapolis Metropolitan Region, in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Its
6,920 acres (10.5 square miles) are home to around 44,000 residents who occupy
21,000 housing units across 35 neighborhoods. The city is a "first ring" suburb
of Minneapolis, which lies on its eastern border. Golden Valley and Plymouth
border the north end; Minnetonka is on the west; and Hopkins and Edina are on
the south.
St. Louis Park is a progressive, friendly community that
welcomes cultural diversity. It's also a community that supports programs which
work with families who lack resources of their own. This is why it is an
excellent place for Perspectives' Family Center. The five apartment buildings that serve our Supportive Housing Program are
a mile North of the Family Center, providing easy access to all Family Center
programs and facilities.
