Supportive Housing Program

Accomplishments

> 75 Families were served

> 79 Adults

> 124 Children

> 5 Families Graduated to our Permanent Housing Program

> 26 Families Discharged from the Program

       - 14 Families Graduated and Moved into Their Own Housing

       - 8 Families Chose to Move into Their Own Housing Before Completing the Program

       - 3 Families Experienced Relapse and Had to Leave the Program

       - 1 Family Abandoned their Apartment

Ten Things to Celebrate

 > 29 Residents Celebrated 2 or more Years of Sobriety

> 70% of Residents were employed or in school or both

> 58% of Children here were reunited with their parent at move in or shortly after

> 8 Families were able to close their Child Protection Cases

> 7 Residents were able to close their Probation Cases

> 4 Residents were able to Expunge their legal records

> 3 Residents won Court Appeals to obtain Public Housing

> 3 Teen Residents graduated from High School and went on to college

> Successful Start Up of a Summer Basketball Program
 

Kids Connection Program

Accomplishments

> 75 Students were served

> 71% of students in 04-05 were retained

> 72% of students met the St. Louis Park District level for attendance

Five Things to Celebrate

> 11 Students Graduated

> 62% of Students raised their reading level .5 grade or more

> 66% of Students raised their math level by .5 grade or more

> Program exceeded reading goal by 7%

> Program exceeded math goal by 1%
 

Summer Explorers Program

Accomplishments

> 54 Students were enrolled

> 41 or 75% of the 54 retained and enrolled in the 06 school year

       - Other 13 students were graduates or moved out of the district

> Results of testing done at the beginning and end of summer program showed:

       - 71% maintained or improved their reading ability

       - 70% maintained or improved their math ability
 

Parenting Time Program

Accomplishments

> 75 Families were served/Increase of 19 Families from 2005

n> 126 Children were served/Increase of 42 from 2005

n> 17 Families Completed the Program and moved to Unsupervised Visits on their own/Increase of

      11 from 2005

n> 398 Supervised Exchanges occurred between parents
 

Mental Health Services

Accomplishments

> 78% of Residents have a persistent Mental Health Diagnosis
n> 65 -70% of Diagnosed Residents are billable for case management and group hours
n> 9 Graduate level Interns providing individual and group services
n> Medication Education Services were provided to residents
 

Volunteer Program

Accomplishments

> 8,558 hours of volunteer hours have been logged as of 10/31/06.  This is a 20% increase

      from last year at this time

> These hours are equivalent to over 4 full time employees

> Largest increase is in the Kid’s Cafe program due to an increase of Guest Chefs

      New Additions:

        - Chris and Rob’s Restaurant

        - Willie’s Wine Bar

        - Bucca Di Peppo

        - The Mission

        - Minneapolis Airport Marriott
